PETA The Butchers: A Look At The REAL PETA

“The numbers are finally in. In 2009, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) impounded 2,366 animals. They killed 2,301 and found homes for only 8. Another 31 were transferred to killing shelters and their fates are unknown. That’s a 97% rate of killing. While the No Kill movement is having PETAunparalleled success and with No Kill communities now dotting the American landscape—in California, Nevada, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, Utah, Virginia, and elsewhere—PETA continues to move sharply in the other direction.”

It would seem from this that PETA needs to run a campaign against it’s own practices. Why are all the naked celebrities not shouting out against this or are dead seals somehow more important than dead dogs and cats? More than likely it’s just that the pay cheques are bigger. After all, if these hypocritical stars actually cared about the welfare of animals would they not only refuse to represent PETA but campaign AGAINST them?

Think about that a little the next time Pam Anderson and her silicone watermelons are splashed across billboards and your TV screens proclaiming the virtues (what a joke that is) of PETA.

Who is the “Butcher of Norfolk“…also known as the PETA Butcher of Norfolk? None other than Ingrid Newkirk, the President of PETA.

“So, apparently, there is such a thing as bad publicity. The word is getting out and the self-described ‘media whores’ of PETA are earning the disgust of animal-lovers. That everyone doesn’t already know about PETA’s dirty little killing habit is testament to their relentless publicity machine and to the laziness of those in the media who continue to treat PETA as if they are real animal advocates rather than animal killers. How quickly would the killing stop if reporters mentioned the death vans whenever PETA complained about the President swatting a fly or suggested that someone or other use a robot rather than a living, breathing animal? What if celebrities would rather ‘go naked’ than support an organization that not only kills needlessly, but also campaigns against those seeking to establish No Kill communities? What if PETA supporters asked: “If you love animals called ‘dinner’, why do you kill animals called ‘pets’?”

Nathan isn’t the only one trying to let the world know of PETAs despicable and hypocritical actions. The above quote is from Valerie Hayes of Atlanta Animal Welfare Examiner. Be sure to drop by there to read the rest of the article.
